Ingredients

  • 1 tomato
  • 2 slices bread, whole wheat
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 2 slices ham
  • 2 eggs

Preparing this recipe

  1. Slice the tomato and set aside.
  2. Toast the bread until golden brown. While the bread is toasting, heat up a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once the pan is hot, add half of the olive oil to the pan. Add the ham to the pan to warm it up and cook it slightly. Remove the ham from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the sliced tomato to cook for a minute or two until slightly softened. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Add the rest of the olive oil to the pan. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your preferred doneness. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the cooked ham on one slice of bread, then add the cooked eggs on top. Add the cooked tomato on top of the eggs and then add the other slice of bread on top.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious breakfast sandwich!
