Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread, whole wheat
  • 1 apple
  • ½ tablespoon yellow mustard (10 g)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (7 g)
  • 1 ounce cheddar cheese, shredded (28 g)

Preparing this recipe

  1. Toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet until they are lightly golden.
  2. Thinly slice the apple into small, bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the mustard and honey. Spread the honey mustard mixture on one slice of the toasted bread.
  4. Layer the sliced apple on top of the honey mustard. Sprinkle the cheese on top of the apple slices.
  5. Cover the sandwich with the other slice of toasted bread. Serve and enjoy!
